Kind reminder from IKEA Canada – Take a Holiday from the Holidays

Yes, the holidays are great, you gather around the table, exchange gifts and smiles, festive vibes around you…but everything is louder, faster and disruptive, a bit too much for some people. You have spent time and energy on buying the right gifts, getting ready for a party, cleaning, cooking and decorating if you had a crazy fantasy to host the dinner party and the list continues. The big night comes, and instead of being a social butterfly, eager to mingle, you are just tired and all you really want is to get away from all the glittering buzz. Sometimes, there is glitter and chaos.

The festive season is also an emotional time, that brings out all sorts of feelings. So, if you need a break from the hustle and bustle of the holidays, just take it. Take a moment to reconnect with yourself, so that you can connect with others. This is just a kind reminder that mental health is important at all times, and holidays make no exception.
